1. Wanna dance? 想跳舞嗎?
= Do you want to dance?
注意:
在口語中"wanna"常可取代"want to"的說法, 一如"be gonna"即等於"be going to"一樣。
例:What do you wanna eat tonight?
= What do you want to eat tonight?
(你今晚想吃什麼?)
What are you gonna wear to tonight's party?
= What are you going to wear to tonight's party?
(你要穿什麼衣服參加今晚的派對?)
2. 人 + can make it 某人可以參加 (某活動等)
例:We're going to Lily's party tonight. Can you make it?
(我們今晚要去參加莉莉的派對。你能去嗎?)
3. not...for the world 絕不可能……  
= not...for anything
= not...no matter what
例:I wouldn't miss your wedding for the world.
= I wouldn't miss your wedding for anything.
= I wouldn't miss your wedding no matter what.
(我絕不會錯過你的婚禮的。)
4. miss vt. 錯過; 想念   
例:If you don't leave now, you'll miss the train.
(如果你現在不走的話,會錯過火車的。)
Jenny misses her boyfriend, who is in the States.
(珍妮很想念她的男朋友,他人現在在美國。)
5. compliment n. & vt. 恭維, 稱讚   
compliment + 人 + on + 事  稱讚某人某事
例:Be careful not to take flattery as a compliment.
(小心不要把諂媚的話當作是恭維。)

The boss complimented Jeff on a job well done.
(老闆稱讚傑夫某項工作表現優異。)

= Come in.

get in the mood  培養情緒
be in the mood to + 原形動詞  有心情做……(多用於疑問句或否定句中)
be in a good mood  心情很好
be in a bad mood  心情不好
例:Dan tried to get his girlfriend in the mood to dance with him.
(阿丹想辦法讓他女友有和他共舞的興緻。)
Are you in the mood to go for a ride?
(你有去兜風的興緻嗎?)
It looks like the boss is in a bad mood again.
(老闆好像心情又不好了。)
It's difficult to get along well with moody people.
(要和情緒化的人好好相處很難。)
10. Sure thing. 當然 (可以) 囉。
= Of course.
例:Barry: Are you coming to dinner with us?
Sally: Sure thing.
(貝瑞:妳會來和我們共進晚餐嗎?)
