Teacher：Yes. They want to determine whether Earth is in danger of being struck by such a rock
.

Student：What if they discover that a big one is coming straight for us
?

學生：如果他們發現有一顆大石頭直接朝我們來怎麼辦
？

Teacher：In that case, there are two things they can do. They can launch rockets to push the rock off its course
.

老師：那樣的話，他們能做的有兩件事。他們可以發射火箭將石頭推離軌道

Student：So that it will miss Earth, right?

Teacher：Right. And if that fails, we can try destroy ing the rock with nuclear miss iles.

老師：對。這個方法不成功的話，我們還可以嘗試用核子飛彈來摧毀石塊
。

Student：Wow! I never thought that nuclear weapons could save the world instead of ending it!
