a. 此處句首的And是語氣詞, 可譯成『那麼』、『呃』。不過and通常作連接詞用, 譯成『和』、『與』之意。

注意:

我們見到某女士, 知其未婚時, 就用Miss稱呼, 但無法確知其已婚或未婚時, 則用Ms.稱呼。

例: Mr. & Mrs. Wang are English teachers. They have a daughter. We call her Miss Wang. She has a friend. She is Ms. Lin. Miss Wang and Ms. Lin are very good friends.
