本句中的one用來代替前一句中的airport; 我們在Lesson 16 Part B中, 已提過用one及ones代替前面已提過的單數名詞和複數名詞之用法, 這裏僅再提供例句供讀者參考。

These apples are good, but I prefer the green ones there.

a. 此處的miss是動詞, 表『錯過』的意思。
例: If you miss the bus, you'll be late.

b. miss除了當『錯過』外, 還可以作『想念』的意思。
例: Jim misses his mom's cooking very much.

in time 及時
on time 準時
in time表『及時』, 是指在預定時間前一、兩分鐘; 而on time則是『準時』, 指剛剛好在預定時間。
in time除可單獨使用外, 亦常常在後面加"for + 名詞"或"to + 原形動詞", 表『及時趕上(做)……』之意。
例: Am I in time for dinner?
(我及時趕上吃晚餐嗎？)
You're just in time to help us paint the wall.
(你剛好及時趕上幫忙我們油漆牆壁。)
I'm sure we will finish the project on time.
(我確信我們能準時完成這項企劃案。) |
