注意:

a. charge另有下列用法:

　be free of charge　　免費 (free of表『脫離』)

　例: You may keep this book. It's free of charge.

　　　(這本書你就拿了吧。它是免費的。)

b. rate亦可表『速度/率』, 有下列用法:

　at the rate of...　　以……的速度/率

= It's US$100 for a single room and US$150 for a double room.

單人房是一百塊美金，而雙人房是一百五十塊美金。

上列句中, US$100 (一百塊美金) 唸成"one hundred US dollars", 而不是"US dollars one hundred"; 同理, US$150唸成"one hundred fifty US dollars", 而非"US dollars one hundred fifty"。有關於表『金錢』的寫法, 除了把貨幣名稱置於數字前面外, 還可以把數字寫在前面, 這時代表錢的符號 ($) 就不用寫出來了，如:

US$100 = 100 US (dollars)

US$150 = 150 US (dollars)

同理, 新台幣 (NT) 的說法也是一樣:

NT$100 = 100 NT (dollars)

NT$150 = 150 NT (dollars)

= See you at that time.

　= See you when you arrive.

　例: A: Don't forget our date tomorrow night at 8 p.m.

　　　B: I won't. See you then.

　(甲：別忘了我們明晚八點的約會。)
