movie n. 電影

go to the movies表『看電影』, movies須用複數。但表『看一場電影』則可有下列用法:

watch a movie　　看一場電影

= see a movie

= take in a movie

例: He seldom goes to the movies.

　　(他很少看電影。)

　 We are going to watch a movie tonight.

　 = We are going to see a movie tonight.

　 = We are going to take in a movie tonight.

　　(我們今晚要去看一場電影。)

Can I have two tickets for Titanic, please?　

可以給我兩張『鐵達尼號』的票嗎？

ticket n. 票, 入場券

例: Molly has two free tickets for the concert.

　　(茉莉有兩張免費的演唱會門票。)

例: Can I have a seat in the back, please?
