be unwilling to + 動詞　　不願意(做)……

例: She is willing to help the poor.

　 (她願意去幫助窮人。)

　 He is unwilling to work in his father's company.

　 (他不願意在父親公司做事。)

Why did you quit your last job?　　你為什麼辭去上一個工作？

= Why did you resign from your last job?

注意:

quit和resign均可表『辭 (職)』, 但quit直接加受詞job, resign則須先置from再接受詞job。此外, quit亦可表『戒除、放棄』之意, 此時可等於give up。

例: Carlos will never quit his job.

　  = Carlos will never resign from his job.

　　(卡洛士絕不會辭去他的工作。)

　　My doctor told me to quit smoking.

  　= My doctor told me to give up smoking.

　　(我的醫生叫我要戒煙。)
