C:May I have a word with you
?
陳先生正在和他的鄰居王太太談話。
陳先生：我可以和妳講句話嗎？
W: Sure. What's the problem?
王太太：當然。有什麼問題嗎？
C: It's about your son. I'm tired of his making so much noise at all hours of the day.
陳先生：是關於貴公子的。我對他一天到晚製造噪音已經感到很厭煩了。
W: I'm sorry. I'm sure he's not doing it on purpose.
王太太：對不起。我確信他不是故意那麼做的。
C: I'm sure he's not. But we can do without the noise pollution, you know?
陳先生：我確信他不是。但我們實在不該有噪音污染，妳知道嗎？
W: You're absolutely right. By the way, how was your party last night? It sure sounded like you had a great time.
王太太：你完全正確。哦，對了，你們昨晚的派對怎麼樣呢？聽起來你們好像玩得很開心嘛。
