1.

Traveling by plane is exciting but it can also be very tiring.

a. 表『搭乘』某種交通工具時, 可用"by + 交通工具"來表示, 且此交通工具前不可置任何冠詞, : by plane (搭飛機)by train (搭火車)by bus (搭公車)by ship/boat (搭船)by taxi (搭計程車)by bicycle (騎腳踏車) 等。

:Traveling by plane is not the only way to get to America.

It's cheaper to go to work by train than by taxi.

My kids go to school by bicycle.

:The only way to get to the village is on foot.

:I first met my wife on a bus.

Whatever you do, don't throw up in my car.

  company.

hometown but couldn't find any of our friends.

)

3.

On your way to the gate, don't pass up the chance to buy something at the duty-free shop.

on one's way to + 地方名詞 (: schooltrain station)

on one's way + 地方副詞 (: homeheretheredowntown)
