1. muscular a. 肌肉發達的, 強壯的

注意:
couch原意為『長椅, 沙發』, potato則為『馬鈴薯』, couch potato乃指長期坐在沙發上看電視啥事也不做, 甚至變得肥胖的人, 也許因肥胖又坐在沙發上狀似馬鈴薯而有此稱呼。不過, 現今, 本字已被引申為『電視迷』。
例:Tim is a couch potato; he watches TV all day long.
(提姆是個電視迷,他整天都在看電視。)
8. be far from + 名詞/形容詞 一點兒也不……, 遠非……  
= be not + 名詞/形容詞 + at all
*此處的far from視為副詞, 置於be動詞之後, 等於not...at all (一點兒也不)。
例:What the man said is far from the truth.
= What the man said is not the truth at all.
(那個男子所說的絕不是實話。)
The couple are rich but far from happy.
= The couple are rich but not happy at all.
(那對夫妻很有錢,但一點也不快樂。)

例:"Either you work harder or you're fired," shouted the boss.
